Come to the Charles Village Festival and discover why we were recently named one of the Top 10 Neighborhoods in America by the American Planning Association. Charles Village (originally named Peabody Heights) began in 1869 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is home to the Baltimore Museum of Art, Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus and Union Memorial Hospital. Many architectural styles can be found within our blocks, as well as “Painted Ladies”, homes and businesses painted in vividly uncommon colors. Charles Village is known for its quirky, bohemian roots. Come down to Wyman Park Dell, designed by the famous Olmsted Brothers, to experience what the Festival and neighborhood can bring to you!”
